KRISTINA AND SADE ALLEYNE

Kristina and Sade Alleyne are the founders of the internationally acclaimed Alleyne Dance Company. Former athletes for Enfield and Haringey, the twins first began dancing with Hip Hop companies Boy Blues and 2xness. Alleyne Dance blends Afro - Caribbean, Hip Hop, Kathak, Latin and Circus Skills within a contemporary dance context.

 

Graduates of The Brit School and the Northern School of Contemporary Dance they have gone on to work with Akram Khan, Tavaziva Dance, Ace Dance and Music, Dance Mission (San Francisco USA), Dance 4 CAT (UK), Shift Youth Company (UK), Impulstanz Residency (Austria), Codarts (Belgium), Jeune Ballet Calabash (France), SEAD Salzburg (Austria) to name but a few. Sade Alleyne has also acted as a mentor for the BBC's Young Dancer of the Year TV show.

Alleyne Dance's production of 'A Night's Game' which was previewed at 'Move It' in 2016 and has been successfully touring internationally ever since. The sisters have received over 10 choreographic commisions including The Bench, creating an outdoor work on 2Faced Dance Company, which is due to be toured in 2020.
